About World Feasts

WELCOME TO WORLD FEASTS!

Floating Market - bananasWorld Feasts, located in West Hollywood, shows you how to cook great meals in a fun, hands-on dinner party setting, with a maximum of 7-8 students.  We provide all ingredients, equipment, and recipes.  We discuss special ingredients or specific techniques, and you start cooking.  Of course help is available as you go along. Students prepare as many of the recipes as they want/can in 2 – 2 1/2 hours; then we all eat this delicious meal, and you take home the recipes.  Most of the classes provide a special wine, aperitif, or cocktail, or you can bring your favorite drink.   It’s a lot of fun – and tasty!  The classes - daytime and evening - run about 3 hours – but sometimes the party goes later!

There are classes for everyone.  Some are for beginners who want to make fast, fresh, delicious meals.  Some cooks want to venture into different cuisines of the world.  Then there are seasonal classes – now highlighting the best part of summer but we’re going into the cozy warmth of fall.    You also learn how to easily plate beautiful as well as flavorful dishes.
If you wish to sign up for a class, click on the page “Class Descriptions”.   If there is any problem signing up, please call me at 323.229.2688.  Or email me at patricia@worldfeasts.com  If you have a promotion code, enter the code as you sign up for the class.

Want more focused attention?  I do individual or small-group classes in your home.  You tell me what you want to make, and we’ll do it.  Or we can design a menu together.  Please contact me for schedule and pricing.  323.229.2688 or email me at patricia@worldfeasts.com.

I have been cooking since I was 10 when my mother was the first in the neighborhood to get one of those new-fangled food processors.  Trips to Europe where the itinerary was determined by proximity to great food also spurred a love of cooking.  I experimented first with European food, and later Mediterranean and Asian cuisines.  I have taken cooking classes in Los Angeles, Portland, and San Francisco and learned and cooked at the side of many friends who own restaurants.

Catering large parties and small dinner gatherings helped get me through college and law school.  For years I have also occasionally cooked for the Italian bistro up the street and made pastries for the owner’s cafe.  In the past five years I have taught beginners to cook without fear, catered parties and business events, and recently hosted the Ultimate Dessert Buffet.  I have chosen to return to the kitchen and teach small groups, sharing my love of fresh flavors and world cuisine.
